Blarney -Macroom Area — 43,000 people — six seats

On next Friday, May 23rd you’re being asked to vote for candidates seeking election to the new Cork County Council. There are 55 seats on the council and the area that Coachford is in, ‘Blarney-Macroom’ will have just six seats on this council. There are 12 candidates in our area, six from Macroom, four from Blarney, one from Ovens and one from Ballingeary.

Voting on Friday May 23rd will take place from 7.00am to 10.00pm. It is vital that you vote to ensure you are represented on a council that will have more extensive powers in the future and will have a bigger impact in your daily lives.
