Karolyne Dineen, director said “We are all really looking forward to performing this fantastic musical. It is one we always wanted to put on and we are delighted that rehearsals have gone so well. It is a great musical with some gorgeous scenes and fantastic songs. I am thrilled the way the main characters have worked so hard to get this magical story to stage. The little Munchkins are adorable and all the main characters are simply superb.”

The musical is well known for its main song,  ‘Somewhere over the Rainbow’ but the show has an abundance of other gorgeous musical numbers such as ‘Ding Dong the Witch is dead’, Follow the Yellow Brick Road’, ‘ Merry old Land of Oz’ ‘If I were King of the Forest’ The Lollipop Guild and ‘We’re off to see the Wizard’ and many more.

“We are all looking forward to this musical taking to the stage next weekend. The costumes and sets are stunning and we have the wonderful people from ‘Healy Sound’ in to ensure that every sentence and sound is heard plainly around the hall. This show will really get the Christmas spirits going and is a great way to celebrate the season with family and friends” said Eugene O’Sullivan Secretary.
