The 5th and 6th class pupils from Coachford NS were superb today (29/01/16) at the EMC VEX robotics competition in CIT. This two day event measured schools in their technical ability, teamwork, project research, robotic construction and programming. Coachford were placed second in the programming category and fourth overall in the competition. This was a tremendous result as it was their first year entering. The children under the superb guidance of Mr.Horan were a credit to the school and their parents. Today at CIT we were looking at our future Engineers,IT specialists and maybe Astronauts but definitely children who understood and enjoyed teamwork. Congratulations!!!
